BRS’ Radar Simulation System (RSS) has been selected for numerous airborne embedded training applications in the U.S. and
abroad. In this configuration, the RSS software runs on a flight-worthy embedded CPU and is integrated within the aircraft.
This growing trend of airborne embedded training maximizes the training value of each flight hour by expanding the training
scenario possibilities. It enables much more versatile and cost-effective airborne training than using actual radar-equipped
aircraft, while saving the cost of an actual radar system.

Compact embedded simulation devices
BRS
provides Custom Embedded Systems for handling unique interfaces,
rendering specialized graphics, and generating aural cues. These systems
can be designed to deal with virtually any combination of interface
signals encountered in trainers for simulating and/or stimulating
aircraft equipment. We can provide all hardware and software engineering
from the proposal stage through final sell-off.
Most systems are built using high-density Industry Packs, housed within
standard COTS industrial PCs. Compact applications utilize small form
factor PC/104 CPUs with expansion boards. Other unique or high-volume
interface systems are housed in VME chassis, using a single-board
computer to control the individual interface boards.
