Desktop Trainers

High-end Radar simulation in a small package

BRS desktop trainer configurations provide sophisticated radar operator training without the expense of high-end, full-mission simulators or aircraft flight time. The trainers incorporate the same high-fidelity BRS Radar Simulation System that has been proven throughout the US Navy and Air Force in advanced flight simulators.

A single PC can drive both the radar student station and an instructor station. This design provides a compact, simplified configuration that is suitable for classroom use. Student stations are customizable and can be scaled in performance from simple weather radar applications to high-performance radar navigation, search or intercept applications.

BRS can either provide complete desktop training systems or combine its radar simulation with other specialized training components from partner companies.

6 DOF flight model available

A high-fidelity, Six Degree Of Freedom flight model is provided in conjunction with autopilot control. The autopilot model will either follow a waypoint flight plan, or will respond to commanded changes in heading, altitude or airspeed. This enables valuable radar training without requiring a pilot:

    • Radar familiarization
    • General navigation
    • Air refueling exercises
    • Mission rehearsal
