BRS provides custom aural cue systems that realistically replicate cockpit sounds, including environmental sound effects (such as continuous engine noise and air flow) as well as navigation tones (such as TACAN or ILS).

Features

Our aural cue systems can be configured as stand-alone PC units or can be combined with other BRS subsystems in a single unit. For example, our PC Instructor Graphics Workstation system combines a dual-headed instructor station with a real-time aural cue. Likewise, our F/A-18 Cockpit Display Interface System combines a custom interface system, instructor target scenario editor, and aural cue in a single embedded-style PC.

Communication with a host computer is typically accomplished using a simple Ethernet UDP interface. If required, alternative interfaces can be implemented, such as RS-232 or Reflective Memory.

Benefits

The BRS Aural Cue system is available for either Linux or MS Windows 98/NT/2000/XP Operating System environments. The most cost-effective solution uses Windows, thereby taking advantage of the latest Microsoft DirectX technology advancements used in computer gaming.

Custom configurations allow for unique requirements, such as 10 or more independent audio channels or unique preamplification levels.
